Organisation innovation and entrepreneurship: The role of the national laboratories in promoting industrial development

Article Abstract:

The role of the Industrial Technology Research Institute's (ITRI) Electronics Research and Service Organization (ERSO), in shaping Taiwan's research and development (R&D) engineers into technical entrepreneurs (Technopreneurs) and in Taiwan's industrial development, is examined. The results show that ERSO has inspired IC technopreneurs to realize the innovative spirit and technopreneurship, creating the national innovative capability of Taiwan.

An empirical study on ERP-driven innovation in Taiwan

Article Abstract:

The relationship between ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)-driven innovation outcomes across different industry sectors and ERP packages are investigated. The results show that the ERP penetration rate for the electronics & science (ES) industry is higher than that for traditional industry and it prefers foreign ERP packages, but the degree of innovation success is found to be low for all industry sectors and ERP packages.

New perspectives on innovation: Competing in the future

Article Abstract:

An integrated framework representing some subfields of innovation, including sources of innovation, the adoption of innovations and the innovation evaluation, and the effect of different categories on innovation, including individual variables, organisational variables and environmental variables are discussed. The framework can be used in explaining the relationship between innovation activities and categories.
