The concept of science park in the context of Kuwait

Article Abstract:

The construction and management of a credible science park is shown to be possible in a developing country such as Kuwait and the Cabral-Dahab science park management paradigm shows how this may be achievable. Barriers to developing a science park in Kuwait should particularly focus on correcting popular belief that money should not be spent on research and development with possible science park orientations shown as chemicals, petroleum and environmental technologies.

Predictors of organizational performance in small and medium-sized professional service firms

Article Abstract:

An analysis of performance predictors in small and medium-sized professional service firms reveals that individual managerial capabilities and and informal system of coordination are of crucial importance. The study also reveals that physical resources and formal structures play only minor roles and that managerial and organizational resources of sustained competitive advantage are viable and effective predictors of performance.
