Article Abstract:

Janspeed Engineering asks FEA Ltd, developer of LUSAS Finite Element System, to provide ways of improving design of a racing car. The structure of the safety cage is to be improved so that it withstands roll-over and torsional stiffness. The party line

Article Abstract:

Siemens of Germany uses computer-aided design and manufacture (CAD-CAM) to design consumer electronics rapidly. Cosmetic stylists in Munich must work with engineers in Bocholt, and the designers used drawing boards. The company trained them to use a new Matra Datavision Euclid-IS system for CAD-CAM, along with third-party applications such as MoldFlow and in-house software. The new arrangement has halved development time by reducing engineering stages.
