Reducing risks

Article Abstract:

The industrial power sector's increasing globalization has made the sector intensely competitive, forcing companies to become more innovative in order to gain a marketing advantage. As an aid to the design process, some firms are using simulation software to help them predict the efficiency of their power systems. Steam turbine and generator producer Siemens Power Generation is one company that relies on simulation tools in the design of its control systems. It uses MATLAB/SIMULINK software developed by The MathWorks and supplied by Cambridge Control.
