Saving the Leatherback turtle

Article Abstract:

The Leatherback project has helped eliminate poaching and minimize nest loss due to erosion, stemming the precipitous decline of nesting turtles. Jeanne Alexander, Dr. William Coles, Dr. Peter Dutton, Donna Dutton and his project team will walk the sand beaches, patrolling for the most massive reptiles on Earth as each female hauls its cumbersome carapace up the beach to nest.

Damselfish of Barbados

Article Abstract:

The project aims to track the survival of coral reef fish larvae to determine the ideal environment for marine reserves. Dr. Suzanne Dorsey and his project team will discover the delicate intricacies of reproduction and survival in the bicolored damselfish, Stegastes partitus, a small but fiercely territorial reef fish with bold black, white, and yellow coloring.
