Toyota's big truck

Article Abstract:

Toyota Motor Corp has introduced its T100 pickup truck, the first Japanese vehicle that is approximately as big as a full-size US pickup. The truck is 209 inches long and 75.2 inches wide. Both two- and four-wheel drive versions are being manufactured, but a V8 engine is not yet available.

Throw away the spare

Article Abstract:

So-called 'run-flat tires,' which provide an additional 200 miles of safe driving after the flat, are being developed. Both Goodyear and Bridgestone run-flat tires are becoming available, with such options possibly being offered on car models as early as 1994.
