Stable silyl, germyl, and stannyl cations, radicals, and anions: heavy versions of carbocations, carbon radicals, and carbanions

Article Abstract:

The stable silyl, germyl and stannyl cations, radicals and anions, one of the most important organometallic fields, are discussed. The interplay and interconversion among the heavy cations, radicals and anions is very important and the example of such interplay is represented by the reversible oxidation-reduction transformation between the persilyl germyl and satnnyl cations, radicals and anions.

Metal-organic cooperative catalysis in C-H and C-C bond activation and its concurrent recovery

Article Abstract:

The article discusses the concept of metal-organic cooperative catalysis (MOCC), a new approach that is being employed for the activation and concurrent recovery of the C-H and C-C bonds. The described system is found to be really beneficial in obtaining a homogeneous phase at high temperature during the reaction.

Supramolecular control of reactivity in the solid state: from templates to ladderness to metal-organic frameworks

Article Abstract:

The article discusses a new approach for controlling the reactivity of chemicals by using the principles of supramolecular and organic solid-state chemistry. The process has been found to be extremely beneficial for the production of several metal templates, ladderness, as well as metal-organic frameworks.
