Strong baby limbs may kick image of maternal dinos

Article Abstract:

Paleobiologists Nicholas R. Geist and Terry D. Jones provide evidence suggesting that dinosaurs are born with pelves and leg joints that are strong enough to support early self-sufficiency. The evidence contradicts paleontologist Jack Horner's theory that dinosaurs were dependent for an extended period.

David Sloan Wilson and other evolutionary biologists are trying to revive the once-discredited theory of group selection. Group-supporting behavior in bees is dismissed by some as mere kin selection. Other researchers are studying group behavior of cells that form multicellular organisms.
