Structures: Brooklyn Museum entrance features structural glass roof

Article Abstract:

New York city's famous Brooklyn Museum underwent renovation of its eastern entrance with a glass covered roof of 15000 square feet. The museum's addition and renovation is designed by New York City-based Polshek Partnership Architects and the cost of this renovation amounted to dollars 63 million.

German complex defies structural and energy norms

The engineering design and construction of the Norddeutsche Landes-bank in Hannover, Germany is described. The buildings features a twisting , cantilevered tower and an energy system that cools the building without an air-conditioning fecility.
