Sustaining a coral Eden

Article Abstract:

A tiny Central American country of Belize, which is adorned by the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, has limitless resources and is threatened by severe environmental impacts that are hurting the local economy. The Earthwatch's new Belize Conservation Research Initiative (CRI) has taken steps to ensure the sustainability of the marine ecosystem, to protect and contribute to the effective conservation of marine ecosystem for the well-being of the environment and local community.
