'Talking Drum': a local area network music installation

Article Abstract:

A description is presented on 'Talking Drum,' an interactive piece of computer music. Factors affecting the audience's experience of the piece include the reverberant character of the area in which it is installed, the ability of the audience to listen to it at various locations, and the distance-related time-delays within the installation.

Exploring the self through algorithmic composition
