The big thaw; stability of the Antarctic ice remains unclear

Scientists are engaged in a fierce debate over the stability of the Antarctic ice cap. Some scientists contend that the ice cap melted three million years ago and will likely undergo the same transformation in the future. Another group of scientists disputes this claim.

The end of clumpiness?

Article Abstract:

A map of more than 6,500 galaxies and their voids drawn by four US astronomers at Las Campanas Observatory in Chile shows that the universe is not nearly as crowded as originally thought. The universe seems to be smooth, a theory disputed by some astronomers.
