Trifluralin degradation under microbiologically induced nitrate and FE(III) reducing conditions

Article Abstract:

Research shows that trifluralin degrades quickly under anaerobic conditions and that degradation is enhanced under iron-reducing conditions.

Microbial metabolism and further fate of bentazon in soil

Article Abstract:

Researchers from Germany investigated the transformation of the herbicide bentazon in soil using radiolabeled bentazon and its derivatives. Bentazon mineralization is affected by the amount of oxygen in the soil and the presence of powdered alfalfa and the fungus Phanerochaete chrysosporium.
