Tying it all together

Article Abstract:

The Rancocas Creek Bridge in Riverside, New Jersey, which features a tied-arch design, will be the first of its kind to carry freight trains in the United States. Due to this unique design, it will be possible for the light-rail passengers to get an unobstructed view of the river and also it will increase the mobility, stimulate the economy and improve the environment in southern New Jersey.

Article Abstract:

The construction of the two largest box girder superstructures in the United States is undertaken to replace Florida's Hathaway Bridge over the St. Andrew Bay in Panama City. The precast segmental box girders encompass seven 330 feet long spans and eight 200 feet long approach spans and double the capacity of the existing bridge.

Oklahoma agency maximizes bridge replacement dollars

Article Abstract:

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation managed to replace 68 deteriorating bridged in the state through a $100 million fund for bridge replacements approved by the state legislature in 2006. The department was also able to leverage another $35 million in federal funds to finance the effort.
