Upgrade to improve Arecibo's vision

Article Abstract:

The $26-million upgrade will make the facilities operated by Cornell's National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center (NAIC) the most powerful radar in the world. The upgrade includes a new dome that houses reflectors and that will enable astronomers to make more detailed maps of nearby astronomical objects.
