A descriptive epidemiology of lifetime trauma and the physical health of older adults

Article Abstract:

A study provides a descriptive epidermiology of trauma in late life with reference to its effect on physical health. Data suggests that trauma arising between the ages of 18 and 30 years, as well as ages of 31 to 64 years, has the strongest relationship with current health.

Emotional support from parents early in life, aging, and health

Article Abstract:

A study conducted to examine the relationship between receiving emotional support from parents in early life and health in adulthood, is discussed. The significance of adopting a life course outlook in studying the social determinants of health among adults is mentioned.
