Conscious and unconscious lexical retrieval blocking in younger and older adults

Article Abstract:

The effects of orthographically overlapping prime words in a word fragment completion task were studied in younger and older adults. Some experiments were conducted and the results suggest that certain aspects of word-finding failures in normal aging may be related to the reduced ability.

Auditory habituation in young and older adults: the verbal transformation effect

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the use of auditory massed repetition to examine the effects of age on habituation are discussed. A group of young and older people were tested for verbal transformations and the results are presented.

Part-set cuing effects in younger and older adults

Article Abstract:

The part-set cuing effects in younger and older adults are examined, with the help of three experiments. The older adults depicted strong part-set cuing effects but are sometimes disproportionately spoiled by cues.
