Evaluating the use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors for older nursing home residents with chronic heart failure

Article Abstract:

Researchers conducted a study to assess the use of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor therapy in older nursing home residents with systolic heart failure. Participants included adults aged 70 or older with left ventricular ejection fractions. They concluded that ACE inhibitors are underprescribed and underdosed among elderly nursing home patients.
