Exercise rehabilitation improves functional outcomes and peripheral circulation in patients with intermittent claudication: a randomized controlled trial

Exercise-induced silent myocardial ischemia and future cardiac events in healthy, sedentary, middle-aged and older men

Article Abstract:

Research concerning exercise-induced silent myocardial ischemia (SI) in healthy, obese, sedentary, middle-aged and older men is presented. Results include findings that exercised-induced SI and a lower maximal aerobic capacity are independent precursors of coronary heart disease, and that exercise treadmill tests may help assess the risk of future cardiac events among sedentary individuals.
