Expertise and age-related changes in components of intelligence

Article Abstract:

An investigation is conducted into the relationship between expertise working memory and expertise deductive reasoning versus fluid reasoning and short-term working memory. These factors, in addition to cognitive speed, have been seen to influence the decline of intelligence in adulthood.

Effects of goal-setting and feedback on memory performance and beliefs among older and younger adults

Article Abstract:

A study is presented which investigates the outcome of goal-setting conditions on performance and memory beliefs in older and younger adults. It is seen that for both of these groups, motivation, self-efficiency and performance are positively affected by goal-setting.
