Does an exercise and incontinence intervention save healthcare costs in a nursing home population?

Article Abstract:

An exercise and incontinence intervention has been investigated to see whether it would save healthcare costs in a nursing home population with the finding that functional outcomes were significantly improved but incidence and costs of selected ac ute health conditions were not . Quality-of-life considerations, not financial ones, will have to be considered to justify the intervention, which is consistent with clinical practice and federal guidelines.
