Health-related quality of life, functional impairment, and healthcare utilization of veterans: veterans' quality-of-life study

Article Abstract:

A study of the health aspects of veterans receiving care from a veterans integrated service network is presented. It is observed that the VA patients have low quality of life coupled with high rates of health services utilization implying the need to improve the health-related quality of life and functional abilities of veterans.

The health status of elderly veteran enrollees in the veterans health administration

Article Abstract:

The health status of elderly veteran enrollees, stratified by age group, and compare with nonveteran populations is examined. The results suggested that elderly veteran enrollees are a group with substantial disease, as reflected by major impairment across multiple dimensions of health status.
