Hormone replacement therapy and fractures in older adults

Article Abstract:

This article examines the role of hormone replacement therapy in the prevention of osteoporosis in both older men and women. Findings indicate that estrogen replacement therapy helps prevent osteoporosis and related fractures in women while testosterone replacement therapy is associated with increased bone mass among hypogonadal men.
