A case-oriented Web-based curriculum in geriatrics for third-year medical students

Article Abstract:

a single-cohort pre/post trial has been carried out to investigate a Web-based geriatrics curriculum for third-year medical students. The curriculum is case-oriented and was rated favorably by the students. Their knowledge in key geriatric topics increased.

Preliminary report from the Kansas Hartford Geriatrics Project: a model of community university collaboration in geriatric medicine faculty development

Article Abstract:

A preliminary report from the Kansas Hartford Geriatrics Project, a 3-year 9-session program of evening sessions for family physicians and general internists, is presented. The program serves as a model of community-university collaboration for geriatric medicine faculty development. Preliminary results show that the project is successful in recruitment and satisfaction in participants and successful innovation in aging-oriented faculty development. Interactive televideo is a successful innovation.

Therapeutic exercise and depressive systems after stroke

Article Abstract:

An analysis on the effect of therapeutic exercise on depressive symptoms is presented. The effect of baseline depressive symptoms on the outcomes of therapeutic exercise in stroke survivors, who underwent acute rehabilitation, is also discussed.
