Do behavioral disturbances in persons with Alzheimer's disease predict caregiver depression over time?

Article Abstract:

A study on the association between behavioral disturbances in persons with Alzheimer's disease and caregiver depressive symptoms at 2-month intervals over an 18-month period is discussed with the help of random effects models. The linear and nonlinear patterns of association between behavioral disturbances and depressive symptoms are analyzed.

Temporal patterns of negative and positive behavior among nursing home residents with Alzheimer's disease

Article Abstract:

Clinical examinations suggest a late-day peak in disruptive behavior in persons with dementia and results from research of temporal patterns of behavior are equivocal. People with Alzheimer's disease (AD) were also tested, and research found small statistically significant diurnal variation in both negative and positive behavior characterized by a curvilinear pattern with a single peak.
