The Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003

Article Abstract:

The major provisions of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003 are discussed. The provisions include a prescription drug discount card program for Medicare beneficiaries for receiving discount on their prescription drug and a voluntary prescription drug benefit scheme for Medicare beneficiaries to enroll in a stand-alone drug plan or for joining in a private health plan offering drug coverage.
