Article Abstract:

Study conducted to characterize ambulatory healthcare utilization of older Korean Americans and its association with length of time since immigration is reported. It is observed that the enabling variables such as education and health insurance significantly influenced use of healthcare services in older Korean-American population.

Living alone and outpatient care use by older veterans

Article Abstract:

The comparison of the older veterans who live alone with those who live with others and their use of outpatient care are described. It is seen that the older veterans who use the Veterans Affairs (VA) and the non-VA facilities and who live alone have greater total outpatient visits than those who live with others.

Hypoalbuminemia 3 months after hospital discharge: significance for long-term survival

Article Abstract:

A study of the changes in albumin over a period of three months in older veteran patients who are discharged from hospitals is presented. The purpose of the study is to determine the conditions preceding persistent hypoalbuminemia. The analysis is useful for determining long-term survival prospects of the veteran.
