A laboratory experiment testing the antecedents of leader cognitions

Article Abstract:

Research examining the results of a laboratory experiment on leadership styles is presented. Particular attention is given to effects of feedbacks, It is emphasized that positive feedback causes transformational cognition and that negative feedback causes transactional cognition.

This paper reports the results of a laboratory experiment between leadership style, negative or positive and vision-related or goal-related feedback on subordinate performance as well as transformational leadership behaviors and transactional cognitions.

Cognitive-affective stress propensity: a field study

Article Abstract:

A novel model for organizational behavior was developed to assess the impact of cognitive-stress propensity on corporate performance. The proposed framework, which features the key elements of a cognitive process stress propensity model, has been proven efficient in assessing various stress-related traits. Results indicate that stress propensity is directly related to strain and otherwise when a subject stress construct is adopted.
