Coming home to a changed world

Article Abstract:

The returning to normal for the troops re-deploying from the war in Iraq is not easy as the world has changed, and it has become difficult to cope with the stress of war and get back to one normal family life. The military has taken measures to ensure all GIs returning from Iraq get the counseling they need as counselors provide information on recognizing symptoms of combat stress, what is normal and when to seek help for possible post-traumatic stress disorder.

Inspiring others: Triple amputees

Article Abstract:

The loss of even a single limb is enough to paralyze the life a man but four veterans from the Iraq war are making the most of what many Americans would consider a severe setback. All the four are triple amputees trying with all their might to come back to normal life with the help of rehabilitation programs but the best part is that they have no regrets and would do the same all over again even after knowing the consequences.

Brooke army medical center: Treating the severely wounded of war

Article Abstract:

The primary military hospital in Texas with a state of the art burn unit which is called the Brooke Army Medical Center that caters to hospitals in Texas is presented. The GIs continue receiving top notch care at Brooke Army Medical Center after they have come out of Iraq and Afghanistan in a severely wounded condition.
