Dual market structures and the likelihood of repeated ties-evidence from pharmaceutical biotechnology

Article Abstract:

A study on research and development partnerships of pharmaceutical industry is presented. The effect of dual market structure in the industry made up of large high-tech pharmaceutical biotechnology firms on the one hand and a group of small firms dependent on the large firms on the other hand, on these research partnerships is analyzed.
