Emerging technologies for hearing loss: an ecological approach

Article Abstract:

The effectiveness of widely available conventional hearing-aid devices in various noise environments is evaluated. Situational and environmental noise factors, in relation with the types of hearing impairments, are considered to optimize hearing effectiveness.

Connections between vision, hearing, and cognitive function in old age

Article Abstract:

The connections between weakening of vision and hearing and changes in cognitive functions are examined. The implications of the existing knowledge in this matter for practice are discussed.
