Evaluation of treatment programs for persons with severe mental illness: moderator and mediator effects

Article Abstract:

Statistical models for estimating treatment effects in a randomized, longitudinal experiment comparing assertive community treatment (ACT) versus brokered case management (BCM) is evaluated along with mediator and moderator analyses. The study resulted in several important methodological advances in the analysis of longitudinal data in randomized experiments being made. .

Reducing overclaiming in needs assessment studies: an experimental comparison

Article Abstract:

This article addresses the problem of overclaiming in social science research. The authors maintain overclaiming occurs most often in voting research in which respondents falsely claim to have voted, public opinion research in which respondents claim to know about a fictitious issue, and market research in which respondents claim to know about a fictitious product.

The Dartmouth Assertive Community Treatment Scale: a generalizability study

Article Abstract:

The Dartmouth Assertive Community Treatment Scale was developed to assess how effective local treatment of the homeless mentally ill is. Evaluation of this scale shows while its total stability is low, many of its items are significantly stable.
