Excerpts from the President Clinton's keynote address on gays and lesbians to the human rights campaign

Article Abstract:

An excerpt of Pres Clinton's keynote address to the Human Rights Campaign dinner, which was held in Washington, DC, on Oct 8, 1997 is presented. He talked about the discrimination and prejudices that gays and lesbians experience in American society. He thinks that this inequality stops America from realizing the American dream. Thus, he calls for Congress to approve the Employment Non-Discrimination Act to contribute to the elimination of sexual discrimination against gays and lesbians.

A new sexual revolution in health, diversity, and rights

Article Abstract:

A third sexual revolution has been identified, following in the footsteps of the Women's Emancipation Movement of the 1920s and 1930s and the Sexual Revolution of the 1960s and 1970s. Communication developments play a key role in the latest revolution, with the Internet at the fore; similarly, the availability of contraception and developments in reproductive technology have boosted self-determination of reproductive activity.
