How Medicaid works

Article Abstract:

Medicaid was enacted in the year 1965, under Title 19 of the Social Security Act to help states in paying healthcare of the very poor. An applicant should be aged, blind, disabled, or a member of a single parent family with dependent children and should have income and assets below specified levels to be eligible for Medicaid.

Medicare reform on the ground: An update on the Medicare drug program

Article Abstract:

The Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 crated two avenues for people with Medicare namely, approval of drug discount cards and a transitional assistance program. An insight into the Medicare drug program is presented.
