How are we doing? Evaluation as part of sexuality education

Article Abstract:

Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey has sought to improve sexuality education curricula and programs by researching the responses of students to certain lessons. Students were given a questionnaire to ascertain their knowledge of, attitude towards and ease of communication about contraception following a single lesson on birth control, with evidence from the 365 questionnaires indicating that their attitudes had positively changed. Videos made students more knowledgable about HIV/AIDS and put them at ease with family planning clinic services.
