Leading companies and networks of strategic alliances in information technologies

Article Abstract:

Corporate cooperation regarding information technologies is analyzed using statistical techniques. The results identify major international networks of corporate alliances and the different changes and positions taken by these companies. The results show a degree of stability in these alliances despite changes in order. The leading diversified companies have a significant role in strategic corporate partnerships in information technology.

Partnerships in transition economies: international strategic technology alliances in Russia

Article Abstract:

An analysis of partnership patterns between Russian and Western firms reveals that research intensive alliances are more likely to take on the contractual form with manufacturing intensive alliances more likely to take on equity joint venture forms specially when technology transfer is unilateral. The study also finds that the joint venture alliance popular with Russian companies dating back to the centrally planned economy.
