Moving services come of age: Managing a change of residence for older people

Article Abstract:

The major focus of most aging organizations is helping elders through home assessments, home-based services, assistive devices, and support for caregivers. Moving Solutions helps elders, people with disabilities and include services like assistance with sorting, planning, and preparing for the move, developing a floor plan, scheduling elevators, arranging long-term storage, hiring movers, packing and unpacking, resettling in the new home, and arranging for the sale of unneeded items.

Daily money managers help elders with financial chores

Article Abstract:

Daily money managers (DMMS) provide an economical solution to the needs of a growing elder market. Many DMMS serving the elder market also work at senior centers and speak to elder groups about day-to-day money management issues.
