Nothing comes between me and my CPU: Smart clothes and 'ubiquitous' computing

Article Abstract:

The promotional literature on smart clothes through Benjamin's discussion of fetishism and flanerie, considering the ways in which such clothes provide a mobile form of bourgeois interiority that allows the users to make an individualized impression on the world are presented. It is therefore concluded that, smart clothing realizes the phantasmagoria of the commodity world, thus playing an active role given by the pacified consumer.
