Predictors of coping behavior after a layoff

Article Abstract:

Individual differences and situational characteristics are predictors of coping strategies associated with job layoff. The two factors are being attributed to the existence of variance, which ranges from 18% to 38%, in each of the six coping strategies used in times of job layoff. Variables related to individual differences attribute a variance ranging from 20% to 35% while a variance ranging from 11% to 27% is being attributed to situational characteristics .
