Article Abstract:

Research describing behaviours related to sex and sexuality in children is presented. Children exhibit a wide array of sexual behaviours and guidelines for distinguishing natural from abnormal behaviour are described.

Research describing the after-effects of child sexual abuse on individuals is presented. Investigations show that in many victims, though not all, sexuality and sexual development may be adversely affected.
