Structural equation modelling in perspective
Article Abstract:
The merits of structural equation modelling techniques have long been debated by researchers. Although some researchers believe otherwise, structural equation models are perceived to be inferior to other modelling techniques. The debate on structural equation models revolves around their causal nature, assessment of global fit and use of specification searches for better model fit. Some researchers contend that it would be best to abandon structural equation modelling in favor of other forms of analyzing data.
