The Kray fascination

Article Abstract:

Reggie and Ronnie Kray were twin brothers who ran an organized mob of illegal activity in England during the 1960s. Both were sentenced to life in prison for murder on March 8, 1969, with a recommendation that they not be paroled until serving at least 30 years. Ronnie Kray died in prison in 1995, and Reggie will likely serve every day of his 30-year recommended term. The Kray twins have been the subjects of an immense amount of cultural representation in England in subsequent years. An analysis of the sources and effects of that representation are included.

Complexity, deconstruction and relativism

Article Abstract:

The post-structuralism, and deconstruction make similar claims about knowledge where arguments against deconstruction is held against a critical form of complexity thinking and a defense of the view from complexity should be taken into account. The deconstruction and complexity-thinking lead to relativism that are subject to the performative contradiction and suggested that a responsible approach to complexity has to be provisional.

Complexity, ecology and the materiality of Information

Article Abstract:

The effect of complexity theory on the social sciences is explored to analyze the relationships between complex processes of self-organization and the environment of ecology. The material and informational structures need a radical continuity between the thermodynamics of emergent complex orders, cognitive theory and the complex structures of human thought and culture.
