Property tax competition in a repeated game

Article Abstract:

Ananalysis of property tax competition in a repeated game setting is presented. Earlier models of tax competition were basically focused on competition's effects on public finance. This earlier basis concluded with efficient quantities of the good and zero optimal tax rates. Results show that property tax competition generates negative tax rates when a repeated game setting is established.
