Some of the changes to the law of 22 prairial as proposed by the Committee of Public Safety are discussed in the article. The definitions of the enemies of the State and modifications in the organization of the revolutionary tribunal in order to deal with them are presented.

The article critically reviews the law of 22 prairial that drastically transformed the French revolutionary tribunal and turned it into a killing machine by denying the accused the right to legal counsel and other dubious methods to facilitate the executions.
