The stress of managerial and professional women: is the price too high?

Article Abstract:

A random sample of 500 professional and managerial women lifted from the Who's Who of Canadian Women was surveyed for the period 1989-1990 to determine the health effects of women's participation in the workforce. Contrary to popular belief, the results showed that women attaining high occupational status may experience improvements in well-being and health. Success was not found to adversely effect marital satisfaction nor the chance of marriage.
