The effects of gender in organizational justice perception

Article Abstract:

The mitigating effects of gender on organizational justice perception have been examined. The study is similar to Sweeney and McFarlin's research in 1997 but in a context where the pay system has been modified and distributive and procedural fairness are important issues for employees. Results indicate gender is not a factor on how organizational justice is viewed as both male and female employees are concerned about the issue.

Mentorship and career mobility: an empirical investigation

Article Abstract:

The effects of mentoring on career development among 244 managers in a manufacturing organization in the Midwest were studied. Results indicated that vocational mentoring is positively related to promotion rate and that psycho-social mentoring was positively related to salary level. Age was negatively related to promotions and company training had a more significant relation to promotion.
