Violence in the workplace: are LHAs at risk?

Article Abstract:

Employees of local housing agencies face the risk of violence everyday. A rejected public housing applicant, already facing hard times, may react violently. Personal questions asked of applicants may trigger violence. Gang presence in public housing projects is also a danger. Local housing agencies need to plan for worker safety.
