Alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use among Asian American and Pacific Islander adolescents in California and Hawaii

Article Abstract:

The study reveals that national and regional reports on racial/ethnic differences and alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) use have consistently shown the ATOD rates of Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) to be among the lowest. It also found similar variations in need for alcohol and other drug treatment for these groups besides the considerable variations in ATOD rates among the subgroups of AAPIs.
