Autobiography, reputation, and the self: on the role of evaluative valence and self-consistency of the self-relevant information

Article Abstract:

This article examines the effects of social reputation and behavioral information on subsequent self-descriptiveness judgements. Results indicate that priming using self-consistent social information facilitated personal trait judgements while inconsistent information did not affect self-descriptive responses when compared to controls.

Affective priming of pronunciation responses: effects of target degradation

Article Abstract:

This article examines the effect of affective primes on the subsequent pronunciation of words with different or similar valence.
