Science and Human Behavior at fifty

Article Abstract:

The range and intensity of reactions to the book 'Science and Human Behavior' mark its impact and show it to be among Skinner's most important works. However, a vigorous use of the book in today's teaching could do much to benefit the dissemination of behavior analysis.

Thorndike's legacy: learning, selection, and the law of effect

The American Psychological Association celebrates the centennial of Edward L. Thorndike's monograph regarding animal intelligence. The impact of Thorndike's law of effect, and the importance of the monograph to animal psychology research are discussed.
